I live in Indiana and was wondering if I would be pulled over for having window tint in Chicago where it is illegal to have tint on front driver and passenger side windows. Thanks muuuuch.Window tinting laws apply in other states? Indiana %26gt; Illinois?
If you drive in a state, you're subject to their laws. Doesn't matter where your tint was applied or where your car is registered. If you drive your car to Chicago with illegal tinting, you're open to be cited. Being from a different state won't help you.Window tinting laws apply in other states? Indiana %26gt; Illinois?
Don't count on it! I live in Oregon where there are no regulations regarding window tinting. I was on a trip to CA and was pulled over and ticketed for having too dark a tint on the drivers door. I had to have it removed and signed off by State Police, even though I was "just passing through." This happened about 10 years ago, but don't assume you'll be ok.Window tinting laws apply in other states? Indiana %26gt; Illinois?
An out of state registration and drivers license should protect you.
Edit Mark A is right. Check the law of the state you're travelling to/through.
