i'm prepping for the summer heat that will pour in through all this glass that covers the whole west exposure of the home. i can't afford expensive window treatments. is there a window tinting or film available or some other inexpensive solution? (half of the glass is sliding glass doors and they're all double pane). thanks.Window tinting or film on floor to ceiling windows?
You can use window film but it is time consuming to do it correctly, depending on the area you are covering window film could get expensive. A possible solution is using simple (inexpensive) semi transparent window curtains (cost of the rod may be more than the fabric). The curtain solution would be a simple fix until you can afford what you really want.Window tinting or film on floor to ceiling windows?
Unless you plant fast growing trees I doubt you'll find an "inexpensive" solution. There are films to apply on glass but are far from cheap. Roman shades or most ANY kind of curtain would help. Use what you CAN afford.
