Home window tinting for privacy?

want to place a window tint on bath room window which allows light but does not allow inside visibilty even with lights onHome window tinting for privacy?
There are many different film solutions for this issue. One easy method is to have a dealer install an opaque film, dusted crystal, etc. This would allow light in but prevent outside to inside observation.

LLumar has several types of film to match your aesthetic requirements and they are certainly warranted.

Shouldn't be a problem. However, most manufacturers will not warrant an "after the market" film put over there windows. Just be advised.Home window tinting for privacy?
There are so many high-tech coatings and films now I can't keep up with them all. check with window companies and automobile window tinters.
Depending on the window... you may be able to use automotive window tint film or spray tinting... Double-glazed windows can be damaged if you tint them though.

Its best to call in a professional due to the differences in windows today. 30 years ago double glazing was rare in homes and the tinting films were almost always the way to go.

I would consider having the exterior of the window frosted. (etched with acid to turn it white) or putting up a frosted glass panel inside of the existing glass.Home window tinting for privacy?
COOL. I WAS ACTUALLY THINKING THE SAME BUT I THOUGHT IT WASN'T APPROPRIATE FOR MY WHOLE HOME. THE BATHROOM IS A DIFFERENT DEAL. I SAW IN SKYMALL THEY HAVE A FILM THAT LETS LIGHT IN AND BLOCKS OUTSIDE VIEW. THEY COME IN DIFFERENT PATTERNS , STAINED GLASS, CLOUDS ETC. IM THINKING ABOUT GETTING IT.
I had a company come to tint every window in my home. They pick up the warranty on the windows and the tint for the life of your windows. I'm glad I did, too. My double glaze windows began to have condensation between the panes and they had no problem replacing the window and retinting. I love the energy savings and the privacy the tint affords and it was worth every penny I paid to have it done. The only minor inconvenience is that you cannot clean the tint with any ammonia based product as it will haze the tint. But, finding vinegar based window cleaner is no big deal. I don't advise doing this job yourself if you are still under a warranty on your original windows because tinting it yourself voids it.
