How do you remove after market window tinting?

If my car won't pass inspection due to window tints is this something I can fix?|||Spray some windex and start scraping with a razor blade make sure it is wet though.|||Buy paint remover (spray can) Auto Zone has it. Spray it and let it sit for about 1 min then it will pill right off you might not even need a razor use gloves.
